This is a pre-owned, used, Hallicrafters model 5R10A is an AC-DC operated multi-band superheterodyne receiver used for AM and CW signals. It incorporates 5 tubes in its circuit and has 4 bands with continuous coverage from 540 KHZ to 31 MHz. The internal roof mounted speaker is of the permanent magnet moving coil design that measures 5 inches across and has a voice coil impedance of 3.2 ohms. 

This is an old-fashioned radio receiver and in decent condition. I do not know how it works to be honest, but I am sure if you are looking at this, you have some idea. I do know it turns on and I hear static. Other than that, I have no idea and I am being honest. This was my grandfathers and it has been in our closet for a long time after he passed away.
