Offering an original, very scarce and sought after C.H. WEBB'S ADDER CALCULATOR MACHINE.  PAT'd NOV. 5th 12TH, 1889.  They came in brass and steel.  This one is steel with a polished nickel back.  Evidently a product from the National Cash Register company that was used in mercantile and the trades.  The very, very rare figure 8 box states: TO SIMPLE TO BE CALLED A "MACHINE", BUT GUARANTEED TO "ADD" WITH MECHANICAL ACCURACY AND RAPIDITY.  I searched the internet for other ADDERS and only came up with one square box.  The boxes are indeed very rare.  These early adders are in major collections and museums and are prized by their owners.  The two wheels function together as they are designed.  DOES NOT HAVE THE STYLUS that I am sure came with the machine.  Other owners have just made their own from various designs.  Also comes with the very scarce, original GENERAL DIRECTIONS AND REMARKS SHEET (see photos).  The cardboard figure 8 box is complete with just a small edge portion broken off (will be included).  Buyer to pay $10.40 for U.S.P.S. Priority Small Flat Rate Mailing Box which comes with tracking and up to $100.00 insurance.  I will pay for the additional insurance for the actual price sold.  Will be packed safely and securely.  Will not ship outside the U.S.  Do not bid on this item if you do not have a U.S. based shipping address.  I reserve the right to re-list if you do not respond to eBay's notification of being the winning bid, within three working days from said notification.  Good Luck!
