The Armstrong Blu-Trac Van is a highway terrain, summer tire manufactured for commercial vans. Armstrong offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

Summer weather traction is promoted with the tread design and durable compound. The summer compound utilizes the special rubber combinations in order to boost the warm temperature performance. The close road contact upgrades the grip on the road surface with the better road-to-rubber ratio. This combination promotes great dry and wet weather performance. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning as they disperse water from below the footprint.

The better road contact and the better traction help to lower the pressure placed on the driving surface. Their combination allows the tire to greatly lower the rolling resistance, which is the pressure that determines the vehicle's necessary fuel intake needed to maintain motion. Lowering the rolling resistance allows the tire to greatly decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This results in a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience.

The maintained surface contact of the ideal ribbed footprint boosts the controllability. The tire promotes a close and consistent surface contact, which greatly improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the tire is able to offer a faster and more precise steering response, while the structural stability is optimized as well. The stabilized shoulder block placement helps to enhance the grip on the road surface during maneuvering. This greatly stabilizes the cornering power, further optimizing the driver's control over the vehicle.

A longer lasting tread life is offered with the tread design. The stabilized shoulder elements ease the pressure off the tire, while they maintain the surface contact. This combination allows the tire to combat tread damage and irregular wear. The shoulder elements avoid the tread's scalloping in high-turn applications. On the other hand, the ribbed footprint's even pressure circulation avoids irregular wear formations. The tire promotes a lengthened service life.

The Blu-Trac Van also ensures a quiet performance. The optimally ribbed tread design allows the tire to channel airwaves through the footprint. As airwaves do not come into contact with the tread elements, the tire is able to prevent sound wave formations. Since road disturbances do not reach the vehicle's cabin, they cannot ruin the passenger's driving enjoyment. This ensures a quiet and comfortable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
