An attractive, two compartment box with a hinged lid.

The box is made from wood and has had a thin layer of hammered sheet metal {possibly pewter} carefully nailed to it to create an attractive finish. The metal of the lid has also been embossted with the word 'cigarettes'.

PLEASE NOTE that there are some small damages and signs of wear. A tiny slither of the metal is missing along the edge of the front of the box where the lid meets the base. There is light scuffingto some edges and there is some discolouration and a worn patch to the middle front of the box from years of being opened and closed.

The lid has a nice snug fit and openes and closes well. Strong hinges.
