About Rochechouart(Roch)

Rochechouart, commonly known as Roch, is a pedal with smooth and responsive distortion, known as the so-called 4Knob transparent system that created a major trend of boutique OD pedals in the 2010s. Leqtique's interpretation of this is a very versatile pedal that covers the LowMid Gain range, and has two independent passive controls for treble and bass, allowing you to relatively change the emphasized band according to the environment. Development began with the idea of ​​producing the product in mind.

During the course of development, I came into contact with a number of pedals that had already become masterpieces in their genre, and learned that one of the characteristics of such pedals is their highly transparent and flat Rather than adjusting each of the high and low frequencies from the tone curve, the transparency and responsiveness are further raised, but two passives are used for the sweet spot that seems to be a more musical midrange. The result is a pedal with a delicate approach to control.
As an important component, Roch uses the ultra-high resolution operational amplifier LT1498 used in Leqitque 99 as its heart, and is also often used in general OD (especially in transparent systems) for clipping to create a distorted texture. As a result of research, we have adopted 1N4150, which produces smoother distortion with smoother edges, compared to 1N4148. In addition to Leqtique's typical PRP resistors, CC resistors, and WIMA MKS series, this time we boldly adopted domestically produced silvered mica capacitors in the signal section to output more delicate tones without losing them.

The first 1+(1) Knob layout effector in the history of Leqtique is based on the theory of building HiFi sound using a variety of special components that we have cultivated over the years. The ProVoost was completed by using a simple circuit of an original design equipped with high-quality vintage Russian MIL spec capacitors that were hidden in the original design, and boosts the original sound of the guitar as it is.
By setting the Boost given to the large chicken knob to 0%, it is designed to provide audible unity gain, so it is suitable for use as a pure buffer rather than as a booster. The Mini Control Soft is effective in this case. This control changes the input impedance in a wide range from 16kΩ to 1.2MΩ in terms of electronic circuitry. Generally speaking, by setting Soft=0% all the way counterclockwise, the impedance will be matched and the lost high-frequency shine will be restored, but on the other hand, if you feel that it is not natural, try this. By turning the Soft control clockwise, you can avoid excessive ON/OFF changes in sound quality and create a softer sound. The input impedance when turned all the way clockwise is a very low value, so although the volume will drop a little (in that case, you can adjust the volume with Boost, there is no problem and it will not affect the impedance.) The high range will be much softer. This makes it useful as an aggressive tone shaper. On the other hand, the Boost control has a boost amount of apprp 20dB that makes each band as flat as possible without noise, yet does not fail. When using it as a volume or gain booster, first set Soft to 0% and adjust the boost amount, then turn Soft clockwise according to the amount (the more boosted, the stronger the overtones will be).
