The base unit seems to work properly but the NiCD battery will not take a charge, just replace it, specs are shown in the photo.  the earpads are not in great shape either but I suspect that the pads sold to replace the Bose pads might work  As shown in the photos, the battery assembly is in one side of hte headset, the receiver and amplifeir in the other side.  Since I took it apart, it will come with the cusion not attached on the side that has the battery, just remove three screws to take out the old battery, you can get a replacement from Digikey.  Or if you would like, you can use the base unit and remove the amplifier and speakers from the headset and make an old radio come alive - the choices are endless
