This beautiful and rare decorative plate is a true antique from England, dating back to the Edwardian era in the early 1900s. The design is that of the popular “Dresden Floral Spray” in the middle, separated by highly detailed gold encrusted border, with more gorgeous flowers for two consecutive layers. The design and artwork are breathtaking! The only plate I found similar to this one, was by Charles Ahrenfeldt, but that plate didn’t have the extensive gold encrusting as this one.

The back has the shield and banner mark which reads Crown England, Sutherland. This piece is definitely a rare find and resembles the Meissen and Dresden plates. In excellent condition with one hairline on the back that looks like it was done in production as it doesn’t appear to go through to the front of the plate and is definitely underneath the clear glaze. An absolutely gorgeous cabinet plate that will be the center of attention with its vibrant colors and heavy gold encrusted detail. Don’t let this one pass you by!
