This black stallion (Mustang) is outfitted in the ceremonial dress of historic Sauk tribe leader, Keokuk. The beliefs and leadership of this Sauk tribe's chief fostered peace and unity between the Native American people and the United States in the early 20th century. The Keokuk horse is adorned with brilliantly colored regalia, accented with feathers.
