9ct 375 Yellow Gold Horse Shoe Hat Pin - 1910s - 57.5mm - Edwardian


Solid 9ct yellow gold with a 9ct gold plated sterling silver pin.

Has no visible hallmarks.

The pin is in good condition for its age. It has minor wear and has finer scratches.

The pin style is a hat pin.

The pin is in the shape of a horse shoe.

This hat pin is handmade and it is dated to around 1910.


The gold purity of the horseshoe has been tested and it was confirmed to be solid 9ct yellow gold (37.5% purity)

The silver purity of the pin was tested and it was confirmed to be 925 sterling (92.5% purity) it is also plated in yellow gold.

The plating has worn thin and is showing the silver underneath in some locations.

The pin is not bent or twisted.

It has a spiral groove cut into it as part of its design.

The pin is soldered to the back of the horseshoe. This solder joint is in good condition and has been soldered properly.

Entirely handmade.


The pin is 57.5mm in length.

Maximum width is 9.2mm.

The pin has a diameter of 1.5mm.

Weight is shown in the photos.


In perfectly wearable condition.

Will be posted with a jewellery pouch.
