The speaker is designed to enhance BugHunter BDA-3’s microphone suppression effect and creates powerful interference from different angles. The speaker connects to BugHunter BDA-3 via mini-jack 3,5 mm port and is equipped with 4 ultrasonic transducers. Up to 4 external speakers can be connected to one BugHunter BDA-3 via splitters. Device is powered from 110/220V electrical mains.

If you already have "BugHunter BDA-3 " microphone suppressor or you plan to obtain one, we recommend to add one or two ultrasonic speakers to it. By paying a little extra, you will be able to protect your meeting room from spyware more reliably. The suppressor provides protection directly in front of it and with additional speakers you can create interference from different sides. In this case ultrasonic interference becomes denser and more effective at suppressing spyware.

Using additional ultrasonic speakers is more economical in cost than using two or three "BugHunter BDA-3" suppressors and a lot more efficient than buying expensive suppressors with a large number of transducers pointed in one direction. You need to consider that with every 1 m (3.3 ft) distance, the power of ultrasonic interference decreases 2-3 times, that's why bulky devices with "50 omnidirectional transducers" do not provide the result you expect. It is a fact verified by experiments.

How to install ultrasonic speakers correctly

Depending on the size of the room and the positioning of people involved in the conversation, one or two additional ultrasonic speakers might be required. Here we suggest only some of the possible installation layouts, which you can use to determine the best possible scenario for your particular conditions.

If you have one external ultrasonic speaker, place it under the desk.

By placing additional ultrasonic speaker under the table you will make jammer even more effective

Or point to the side with transducers facing the other person while the suppressor itself is on the desk in front of you.

On the front side of the speaker 4 ultrasonic transducers are placed and audio connector and a power adapter jack are located on the back.

When using two speakers, usually one speaker is placed under the desk and other one is placed on a wall or a shelf.

Example of combined use of a jammer and two external speakers (one is fixated on the wall and the other is under the table).

To connect 2 speakers to the device, such a simple audio splitter for 2 mini-jacks 3.5 mm can be used.

This simple splitter will let you connect two speakers to one jammer instead of one.
