"Hodiernae Asiae Tabula." (Plate of Modern Asia).

A genuine antique map of Asia, taken from Edward Wells's Dionysii Geographia, which was first issued in 1704. There were later editions. This was sold to me a few years ago as 1709.

A fascinating little map, with rather approximate coastlines (India is strangely shrunk in width), and with a tantalising glimpse of the north of Australia hinted at bottom right.

A scarce miniature map.

Size: the sheet measures approx. 16.5cms x 10cms.

Condition: Sheet a little browned with age, with stains along top and bottom. Two creases top left and top right. A little ragged along the top edge, and trimmed all round as seen in my photographs. All map details very clear. Please study my photographs.
