Unlocked for any compatible carrier. 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage Model comes with original box and paperwork and OEM Xiaomi 67W and high amperage cable, and OEM Case with Kickstand. Color is Black, but not the standard black, it is a Black Fiber edition, which is a special material, a hybrid of ceramic and aramid fiber, very strong and much more durable than glass.
Besides the included OEM Leather Case with Kickstand with kickstand, I'll include a couple of extra cases shown in the pictures, one is clea/transparent and the other one is also leather-like material but it also has a ring for magsafe.
Great condition overall, barely a couple of months old it’s been used mostly indoors and almost never outdoors. I don’t see any relevant (visible to the naked eye) scratches or obvious signs of use but I’ll try to include many detailed pictures, especially with the inner/larger screen, I was always careful to touch it only with my fingertips only (not with my fingernails).
The
phone doesn’t have IP Rating but seems to be indeed water resistance, you can
watch some terdown videos and has a lot of seals and it also passes the water
resistance test in the water resistance app that uses barometer to test, older
foldables I’ve had didn’t pass this test.
Please check my other listing if you need a super fast Xiaomi OEM wireless charger, I have a couple for sale.
Now to
the good part:
This
device is just astonishing, when I first got it about 4 months ago it was
mind-blowing. I came from a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, which I upgraded because I
felt it was too heavy, too thick and the cover screen was too narrow almost
unusable for most productive tasks. I received the Mi Mix Fold 3 and WOW what a
difference! It immediately made my Galaxy Fold feel like chunky old tech. The
Mix Fold 3 much slimmer, noticeable lighter and the cover screen has a 21:9
aspect ratio so when closed, it feels almost like a regular candy bar
smartphone, just what I was looking for! I no longer had to sacrifice the
"regular smartphone screen" in order to have the "larger 8-in
mini tablet screen", all while also having a larger battery and much better
battery life!
Phone
will be factory reset before shipping but "Google Services" can be
easily turned on in settings under "Accounts & Sync". Google
services DO work on this phone and Google Play Store can in installed
from the pre-loaded Xiaomi app store (which comes pre-installed, it's an orange
icon and called "GetApps") in just a couple of minutes, then all
google apps can be installed, google maps, google messages, YouTube, google
translate, google keep, google calendar, etc, etc. They all work great and no
weird workarounds are needed (unlike with Huawei phones for example).
I've
used this with T-Mobile and worked well but I know it doesn't work with
Verizon, some online reports say it works well with At&T.
Please
do your research/DD and ask me as many questions as you have before bidding as
all hardware works perfect and I will NOT accept returns for buyers remorse, if
for any reason you want to switch to a different phone in the near future,
you'll have to re-sell it.
The
software (Android skin MIUI 14) has its pros and cons, it doesn't offer ALL
features available on Samsung phones' OneUI (for example no DeX or GoodLock
modules) but many others are still there just with a different name, for
example "second space" instead of "secure folder". It also
has other things that Samsung doesn't have such as native real call recording
from the stock phone app, IR blaster to control TVs, Mini split AC units, and
other appliances, it's got capability for dual physical SIM and many
customization options in settings, some of which are absent in Samsung OneUI.
The Xiaomi UI is also noticeable smoother, especially when performing
navigation gestures, as well as biometrics are practically instantaneous, as
soon as you touch the fingerprint sensor is already unlocked and raise to wake
+ face unlock also work flawlessly, those two aspects are on par with the
iPhone. My older Samsung on the other hand wasn't slow by any means on
processing speed but had animations that occasionally had a bit of delay and
dropped frames, seeming stuttery. Also Face Unlock was hit or miss on the
Samsung, not very reliable.
Overall
if you're coming from another Android such as Samsung, Motorola, Pixel, etc.
There will be a learning curve but not as big as if you were coming from
iPhone, very doable nonetheless if you're adaptable.
Warnings/known
issues: Android Auto doesn't work with this phone & newer
Galaxy Watches with WearOS cannot be paired for notifications, etc. (although I
was still able to pair my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic to use with WearMouse app to
use the watch as a remote mouse/keyboard for the Xiaomi).
I will
ship via USPS WITH Insurance and signature required for the
safety of both of us.
If
you're considering this phone, I highly recommend you watch this video review to
give you a better idea of this device:

You don’t
need to keep reading below as it’s not part of the actual item description but
they’re just some general tips that I wanted to add that may help you if you’re
new to HyperOS from Xiaomi:
First,
some users new to Xiaomi complain about some apps being closed in the
background or notifications being delayed. I haven't had that issue but you
have to adjust the setting individually for apps you care about:
1. First
activate developer options in settings > my device > detailed info and
specs > then tap "MIUI Version" rapidly about 5 times. Then
developer options will appear in settings > additional settings >
developer options.
2. Turn
off MIUI optimization in developer options (this is very important).
3. Turn
OFF "Don't keep activities" option in the developer options.
4. MIUI
Security App > Boost Speed >Settings (top right) > Lock the App you
need to keep alive
5. Long
press on app icon from the Home Screen, then tap "App Info". Allow
"AutoStart" when available & choose "Unrestricted"
under "battery and performance" menu.
I highly
recommend using Swiftkey keyboard or Gboard from the Play Store, once you
configure it stays on but the keyboard may revert to a Chinese one if you
restart the phone, hence I also really recommend you leave the SwiftKey app
icon in an accessible place in the home screen so whenever you actually restart
the phone (or turned off because ran out of battery), you can simply tap the
SwiftKey app icon and re-activate your favorite keyboard with just a couple of
taps in 5 seconds. I don't restart my phone very often but still useful to
leave the keyboard icon in the home screen.
Another
bonus tip: Install the app Edison Mail from the play store!
Best app ever for multiple mail accounts and notifications work great. After
searching for years after trying Outlook, Gmail, Samsung stock email, and many
others from the play store, Edison Mail is by faaar the best, free for non plus
version which has all the basics and more and no ads.
2nd
bonus tip: If you want to cast to a 16:9 TV, you can download an app called
Purr - Rootless Resolution Changer from the Play Store to change the screen to
1080x1920 (works better with the cover screen), then whenever you cast and play
a video for example, it will show full screen in the TV instead of showing a
smaller video with black bars on the sides and/or top & bottom.
Again
please let me know any questions you may have and thanks for looking!
