Tuberose Polianthes "The Pearl"

These Mexican natives are a wonderful addition to any summer garden.  They grow best with warmth and heat.  Winter hardy in zone 7+.  Their fragrance is famous for perfumes.  They make a wonderful, long lasting cut flower!

Blooming Size Bulbs.

This is full blooming size.  Bulbs larger than this have usually already bloomed and will not bloom again until their offsets reach full size, which takes about 2 years.  Proper size selection is the secret to getting Tuberose's to bloom the first year after planting.

Basic planting:

1.) Find well drained soil. (You don't want water to puddle.)

2.)  Full to Part sun in a warm location. ( they like temps of 90-95 Plus degrees).

3.)  They have a shallow root system so plant them just under the soil and water heavily. Then water well at least once a week.
