This is an electric tin toy manufactured by Alps during the golden age of battery toys in the 1950-1960s.
When you turn on the switch, both eyes will light up, and when you move your right hand up and down to catch a fish and catch it with your left hand, it will raise and lower its head and laugh with great joy. After that, the captured fish is put into the biku and the fish are returned from the biku to the river, which is a complex gimmick that repeats the process.
The tin base is removable and two tin fish are included. Everything is original, including the straw hat.
There is some discoloration due to age, but there is no sign of use, and it is in beautiful condition as if it has been carefully stored for nearly 60 years.
