You are buying a Spanish green beret from the old BOEL -Bandera de Operaciones Especiales de la Legión-, a special operations battalion of the foreign legion. This special forces unit was integrated into the special operations command of the Spanish army, losing its legionary identity in 2002. Currently, although organically it continues to depend on the army MOE (special operation command), it is in the process of recovering its legionary affiliation and is moving to one of the own military bases. This one is the genuine "guerrillero" beret of use in the 80's before the change to a more GOE (special operations group) unit within the MOE.

The beret is made of wool, it has the sweatband in leather and waterproofed type. Model with two holes for ventilation.

The beret is in overall good used condition, flawless. It has just signs of having been worn. These hats were always worn for instruction, exercises and maneuvers in the field, woods and mountain for weeks. However it is in very good shape to be almost 40 years old. This is waterproofed model made by famous manufacturer Boinas Elosegui from Tolosa, Spain. Size 56 metric, wears like an 7 approx (US medium).
