A good collection of 45 magic lantern slides, all depicting Derbyshire and the Peak District in the North of England, presented as a show with start and end titles, and contained within a period wooden box. Beautifully photographed, the images are attributed to the great Scottish photographer George Washington Wilson, or photographers under his employ.  Wilson established his company in 1848 and specialised in high quality landscape photography.  By the 1880s, he had been joined by his three sons, John, Louis and Charles, who continued running the business after George's death in 1893.  The company was wound up in 1902.

Condition: The slides are all in good condition, free from cracks, chips and losses and with only minor loss of edge tape.  All are consecutively numbered, with a few omissions.  The wooden storage case is in good order.

Overseas buyers are welcome, but please note that import charges may apply.  Please be assure that these slides will be very carefully wrapped and will be promptly dispatched.  For similar items, please visit my eBay shop and subscribe if you would like to receive notifications and offers.  Many thanks for looking.
