Vintage 1920s first aid book published by St John Ambulance Association.  Small hardback book.  Contains plenty of illustrations, advertisements and practical advice (much of which is out of date, of course, since it was written in the days when telephones were few and far between; the advice includes "when summoning a medical man to an accident, always let him know by a written message what kind of case he is required to treat, so that he may bring whatever is needful", so the emphasis for injuries was immediate treatment/stabilisation of the patient while waiting for the ambulance or doctor.  5.25" x 4" approx.  Weight 150g.

Condition:  1920s book, with some damage - the title page and first page are missing - so the book begins on page 3.  The remaining pages are in good condition.  Covers are scuffed, with old tea stains.  A nice nostalgic item, but definitely looks its age!
