Speed Magny 45 for the Nikon F

Up for bids is this rare Speed Magny 45 designed for use with the early era Nikon F camera.

This ingenious device enables the photographer to take 4x5 pictures using the F camera and a large format film holder. To achieve this, the image is picked up by a relay lens placed at the film plane, sent on the 45° mirror that reflects it through a 50/2.8 Nikon enlarging lens that blows it up before sending it again on another 45° mirror and finally on to the sheet film. 

The Speed Magny is a complete assembly that replaces the standard back of the camera. The unit is further secured on the camera by screwing it using the tripod socket. This is an early model F back as the back has an ASA counter only to 400

CONDITION
As you can see from the photos, the unit is in excellent condition with little signs of use. The unit also includes its original strap.

Operation was not tested as we don't have any sheet film
