It contains a local copy of the (meta) packages listed (top10, default & large) so it can be used for complete offline installations without the need of a network connection.
This image cannot be used to boot a live system (such as directly running Kali from a USB). It is only an installer image.
ISO Image Mode & DD Image Mode
There are two versions of Installer, the default (listed first) is an ISO Image, the second version is DD Image Mode. Please select the image which you would like to use.

This image is for running Kali Linux without installing it first so it is perfect for running off a USB drive.
FAQs, Problems & Solutions
1) Installation Error: Check the integrity of installation media
No Valid Debian installation media
What you have inserted is no valid Debian installation media. Please try again
To fix this issue, remove USB drive and wait for few minutes and try again.
Try connecting to different USB port if you have them
If above doesn't fix then you need Kali Installer with DD Image Mode
2) The ext4 file system creation in partition .. Failed
This error has to do with the partition on your system. You can Google search to find solution as this issue has nothing to do with the installer.

Dispatch
