Here is a fantastic “time capsule” original Flyer steam loco! Includes 4-4-2 #4694 Triangular Valve Steam Loco, and #4663 Golden State coal Tender, both in black with brass trim. Both pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. This loco and tender came out of the 70+ year old collection of American Flyer wide gauge we recently got, making this the first time in 70+ years this loco is being offered for sale! This pair is incredibly original, untouched. We cleaned the tender to see how it would look, and it came out great, showing light wear with just a couple small nicks and nice clean paint. All trim is intact. The loco has not been touched, and will require some time to clean, but it will come up beautifully, like the tender. It shows very few scratches, and only a couple small nicks. It has a beautiful original green stripe, as good as it gets! The wheels, and trailer and rear trucks have some surface rust as seen. The wheels bind some, and do not turn freely and easily. This will need to be addressed for the loco to run. All trim is intact on the loco, including the original pin and chain, which is disconnected at a point as seen. Please examine photos as they are the best description. The Golden State tender is a tough one to find, especially in this condition! This pair will clean up beautifully! Great pair perfect for the collector, no reserve!
