FASHIONED OF A BROWN GROUND THICK CHALLIS WOOL WITH A BROWN AND WHITE PINSTRIPING RUNNING THROUGHOUT.
FULLY SEWN BY HAND, SLEEVES ARE SET OFF THE SHOULDER WITH A GATHERING ATOP THE FRONT AND PIPING AROUND THE NECKLINE AND ATOP THE SHOULDERS.
SLEEVES ARE CRESCENT SHAPE WITH VELVET RIBBON AND BROWN LACE TRIMMING. THE TOP SHOULDER IS IN EPAULET FASHION.
FAN OF BONING IS ON THE INTERIOR IN BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR AND IS LINED IN MUSLIN WITH A SLEEVE ON EACH SIDE OF THE REAR BACK THAT HAS SEEN THE BONING REMOVED. A BLUE GLAZED COTTON LINES THE SLEEVES. HOOK AND EYE CLOSURE IN THE CENTER FRONT.
CONDITION: SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED. SMALL WEAR SEEN BENEATH THE UNDER ARMS WITH A SMALL FADE WITH THE LEFT UNDER ARM HAVING SOME SMALL FRAYS. THUMBPRINT HOLE ATOP THE LEFT SHOULDER THAT IS HIDDEN BY THE EPAULET FOLD WITH A SMALL FRAY HOLE JUST ASIDE ON THE EPAULET.
TWO FRAYED HOLES ON THE HIGH RIGHT BUST, TWO SMALLER HOLES ON THE LEFT HIGH BUST WITH A CORNER OF WEAR ON THE COLLAR. THE LACE ON THE CUFFS IS FRAYING WITH SOME SMALL ABSENCE. SMALL PERIOD STITCHED MENDS ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE ON EACH SIDE OF THE REAR, DONE BY HAND AND WELL EXECUTED. INTERIOR LINING SHOWS SOME SMALL DISCOLORATION THAT IS UNSEEN FROM THE EXTERIOR.
