Important One Of A Kind Circa 1850 Victorian Chinese Ming Gold Silver Enamel Tea Kettle Pendant Lucky Charm

🐉

No hallmarks which indicates it was not a commercial piece but one created for the Chinese royal family since at that time only they were authorized to have any imagery of dragons particularly gold dragons since they were descended from dragons. The handle is the only silver component the remainder is gold and enamel over gold, most likely 14K gold. Weighs approximately 1.8 grams. Approximately 1.12 cm (7/16 of an inch) in height excluding the silver handle, and approximately 1.53 cm (9.7/16 of an inch) in length from spout tip to furthest rear curve, and approximately 1.15 cm (7/16 of an inch) at its widest central curves edges. White enamel surfaces the interior as well. Although the oldest tea kettles were Sumerian bronze ones dating thousands of years, it was never the less a Chinese tradition for most of recorded human history where they were the first to create a tea ritual ! Thus making this masterly detailed handcrafted by an exceptional talented gold silversmith and enameler, as illustrated in the detailed images, the most important tea kettle charm in history since you will not find an earlier one and from China the tea capital of the world ! Europe adopted and imported tea from China, thus the "English tea time" with their fine Chinese porcelain. All other tea charms and pendant are copies of this authentic original, making it truly a museum piece, no ? Very charming to see the Chinese emperor on one side conversing with a yellow dragon, and on the other side riding a carriage pulled by the yellow dragon, I wonder what is being said in this interesting interaction ? The crazy people of Ancient Aliens believe that dragons were in essence aliens teaching mankind their advanced secrets ? Will continue.......
