FASHIONED OF A BLACK SILK CREPE THAT IS VERY THIN WITH LARGE PUFF SLEEVES HAVING BANDS OF SEQUINS AND JET BEADS ON NET TRIMMING AROUND THE MIDDLE ARM WITH BLACK VOILE RUFFLES BENEATH.
THE SLEEVE IS RUCH GATHERED WITH INSERTS OF OPEN STITCH DETAIL ON THE CUFF WITH JET BEADS AND SEQUINS TRIMMING AROUND THE CUFF AND THE BOTTOM FINISHED IN BILLOWING SILK CHIFFON.
HOOK AND EYE CLOSURE UP THE FRONT WITH PLEATS RUNNING AROUND THE NECKLINE WITH BANDS OF SEQUINS AND JET BEADS FANNING OVER THE PLEATS AND SCALLOP EDGED NET COVERED IN NET BEADS AND SHIMMERING SEQUINS FULLY CAPES THE ENTIRE FRONT AND REAR.
MATCHING BAND COLLAR HOOKS CLOSED IN THE REAR WITH THE INTERIOR LINED IN BLACK SILK TAFFETA WITH BONING IN THE FRONT AND FINISHED SEAMS.
CONDITION: HEAVY SOILING SEEN TO THE INNER COLLAR WITH TRACE REMAINS OF MOIRE RUFFLES AND I PERSONALLY WOULD REMOVE ALL OF THE EDGING.
AN ERASER SIZED HOLE IS IN THE SILK JUST ASIDE THE ENCLSURE, JUST ASIDE THE CAPE DETAIL IN THE FRONT AND SEQUINS ARE LOOSE ALONG THE EDGE CAP, COULD BE REMOVED TO LEAVE BEADING ON THE EDGE AS THE FRONT IS MISSING MOST OF THE SEQUINS ALONG THE EDGE. THE ABSENCES ARE HARD TO NOTE.
TWO FINGERTIP HOLES TO THE NET OF THE COLLAR, I WOULD ADD ADDITIONAL SEQUINS OVER A NEAT STITCHED REPAIR.
A VERY BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN BODICE IN A WEARABLE SIZE.
