3 Lb Tumbling Barrel / Milling Jar

This is a brand new stone tumbling barrel approx 140mm long (without the caps) and 110mm diameter.

Complete with BEACH caps.

It will take up to 3 lb of rough rock.

The barrel ends are perfectly square and are cut with cutting wheels not a band saw.

 This gives a nice clean cut and the tool adds a slight bevel to enable it to fit right into the apex of the cap.

When fitting the end caps, pour hot water into the caps. Wait a few seconds, tip the water out and push one cap over the barrel.

Load the barrel and repeat for the second cap.

When the second cap is fitted lift its edge to expel any air. 

When both caps have cooled they shrink and ensures a really watertight fit.

Additional barrels are recommended for different stages of tumbling to avoid contamination when doing the next stage.

Mark your barrels for each stage of the tumbling process and use only for that stage.
