Extreamly unique antique corner cabinet from the mid 1800's. The cabinet is made of solid walnut and has a stunning concave hemispshere design carved into the top, which swoops down becoming the inner shelve housing. The Three shelves follow the circular pattern leaving the inside void. The bottom two shelves have grooves in them to allow for china to be displayed, along with a small inner circle display pedastal. The cabinet has one set of bottom doors with one internal shelf. The doors have a very primaive locking mechanism activated by just turning the landle clockwise or counter clockwise. The hinges to the cabinet doors have very primative original hand made nails in them as shown, and almost give the hinge a medieval style look. This piece has always been well cared for and its condition today shows that. It is mostly original with a few small touchups from over the years. As the pictures show, it is massive. It measures 52L x 28W x 91.5H.
