Vintage collectible Mid Century Modern chrome pincherette type ashtray with the Empire State Building on it. It measures approximately 4 1/4" across and 2 3/4" Tall. Marked Made in Japan with K878? on the bottom. 

The building is aged with corrosion to the metal - not sure if it can be cleaned (?).
