The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss is a wristwatch model introduced by Rolex in 1956. The Milgauss was designed as an antimagnetic wristwatch specifically for those who worked in power plants, medical facilities and research labs (like CERN in Geneva) where electromagnetic fields can cause havoc with the timing of a watch. The name Milgauss is derived from the Latin mille, which means one-thousand, and gauss, the unit of a magnetic field. This model is so named because it can withstand a magnetic flux density of 1,000 gauss.
Here is a fantastic preowned 2013 Rolex Milgauss anniversary edition, model no: 116400GV stainless steel watch in excellent condition. The anniversary model features a black dial with green tinted sapphire crystal glass. Adding more colour to the watch this model has the orange lightening bolt seconds hand and 3-6-9 markers plus orange minute indices. This fantastic watch has a 40mm stainless steel case with a polished finish. Cal 3131, 31 jewel automatic movement. Signed Rolex screw in crown. Stainless steel oyster bracelet strap with 12 links (one has been removed and is in the box).
This watch is in full working order and keeping excellent time. It has recently had a full overhaul service at Rolex in November 2023 . It will come in it's Rolex box with Rolex swing tags, warranty card in wallet holder, instruction booklet, one link, watch register certificate, Rolex service receipt & Rolex service card.
