Lovely Art Nouveau 9ct Gold Pendant – a timeless piece that combines elegance with meaningful symbolism. This exquisite pendant is adorned with a captivating aquamarine gemstone surrounded by delicate seed pearls.

Crafted during the Art Nouveau period, this pendant is a testament to the taste and style of that era. It is marked 9ct on the back and it comes complete with the vintage jewellery photographed.

A newer 9ct gold chain, 45cm (18") long is included, making it ready to be worn and cherished. The aquamarine, deriving its name from the Latin word for seawater, not only exudes a calming allure but is also believed to prolong relationships and enhance the happiness of marriages. Legend has it that aquamarine protects against seasickness.

Aquamarine is the birthstone for March and 19th anniversaries. The intricate use of seed pearls, each measuring less than 2mm in diameter, adds a touch of refinement. In the latter part of the 19th and early 20th centuries, seed pearls were often used, symbolising purity, chastity, and delicacy.

This genuine antique piece is in good condition overall, with some light surface wear that is commensurate with its age. Please assess further using our high-resolution photos.
