Signed artist proof of the event poster for the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association Serengeti Drivers Cup featuring a 25th anniversary celebration of the Ford GT40. The event was held September 8-10, 1989 at Watkins Glen.
Art features a depiction of the legendary GT40 podium sweep at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hour race.
This artist proof is beautifully rendered in richly colored inks under the watchful eye of noted automotive artist Dennis Simon who is both the artist and publisher. The artist proofs are the first off the press after Simon approved the color matching to the original painting. Poster is signed by Dennis Simon in the lower right corner, and identified as an artist proof in the lower left.
Poster measures 23" x 36" (59cm x 93cm). Poster is new, in beautiful condition.
