Thanks for looking! I purchased this guitar used maybe 15 years ago. Since, I had a new nut cut to widen strings a bit (narrow 1.56 inch board at nut - great for small hands!) - and I purchased a used Johnny Smith pickguard - installed by pro. I got the pickguard from a shop closing in NOLA quarter maybe 12 years ago - 100 cash - I doubt there was much in the way of knockoffs back then, but I can’t be certain it is from a Gibson. That said, it is really tight work on 5 ply and pickup/knobs. There is an end piece on it that was glued back together, before I got - in pics. The pickup has some sanding scratches but works well as do vol/ tone knobs.

Now the guitar… beautifully aged, unique Cello coloring on top! Looks to be Birdseye maple ply - both sides! Very solid - the top arch shaping is spot on still. The original brass frets are still on - very little play. The neck is straight and solid at body - there is some random dried glue around neck at body - in pics -don’t know, joint is very solid - if someone did reset it, they put a nice angle on it, but more likely to me was a messy binding repair at a non perfect seem - although nice work on the neck and body binding. I scraped back of neck down to make it faster - with linseed oil - vertical grain is tight! Minor scratches and dings from 60ish years - nice vintage condition otherwise. Comes with hard case in pics.
