The full moon is the lunar phase when the Moon appears fully illuminated from Earth's perspective.  All full moons rise around the time of sunset. Since the Moon moves eastward among the stars faster than the Sun, the lunar culmination is delayed by about 50.47 minutes (on average) each day, thus causing the moonrise to occur later each day.  He would make a great container for your kitchen, salt cellar, M&Ms, Tums, dice, or something special. I am very pleased with how nicely this moon fired out. The glazes work well. The eyes and teeth are porcelain, he is stoneware. He is dishwasher and food-safe.
