This was a School prize book; the presentation plate is from Dawley National School, Shropshire, and is dated 1909-1910. 5 coloured plates (which is odd, because there are only 4 in the list of illustrations). Published by Nelson as part of their "Kingston Library" series.
Hardback book. Undated, but presumably Edwardian. Decorated boards. 411 pages, plus a few pages of advertisements for other books. 7.75" x 5.5" approx. Weight 710g.
Condition: Old children's book, over a century old but still in good readable condition, though not perfect. Pages are in good clean condition, with some light marks from normal use. Hard covers are scuffed and worn at the edges, and especially at the spine. Some marks on the covers and on the very edges of the pages. Prize plate in the front, dated 1909-1910.
