ABOUT THE STAMP:

For the stamp´s artwork, the portrait of the honoree was used in the foreground in blue and on the left side, below the composition, two young women who portray the short story "Antes do Baile Verde" (Before the Green Ball), by her authorship. Enlarged sequins give elasticity to the scene, where the color green also emphasizes the name of the story, where the young girls get ready to go to a Carnival Ball, whose costume is green, hence the name, and, while sewing sequins to the costume, they face a dilemma between death and pleasure. The whole stamp is made using the intaglio technique.
