On offer is an original and very rare copy of MICKEY MOUSE STORIES, Book No. 2, published by David McKay Company, Washington Square, Philadelphia, in 1934. The title page states:  “Story and Illustrations by Staff of Walt Disney Studio”.

This nice copy of a beloved old children’s book was found among my wife’s stepfather’s collection of his childhood books and is in GOOD condition for a 90-year-old volume.

The book is 62 pages in length and contains stories from several Mickey Mouse cartoons such as "Pioneer Days," "The Delivery Boy," "The Castaway," and "The Moose Hunt." There are black-and-white illustrations on every single page (!!) and they really evoke the classic Mickey Mouse Cartoons of the early '30s.

The book also acts as a flip movie book. When you flip through the bottom corner from front to back, Mickey dances; and from back to front, Minnie dances!

The cover has some creasing, edgewear and corner wear, but nothing too bad. The important point is that the interior pages are clean, with no torn or missing pages. Also, there is no writing, scrawling, coloring, or other defacement anywhere to be seen, which is highly unusual for a kid’s book nearly a century old!

I’ve posted 10 photos (front cover, back cover, and interior illustrations) to give you a clearer idea of what you’re purchasing. Compared to many copies I’ve seen this is a very GOOD copy.

All photos are of the item being offered for sale and there are no stock photos. This rare book is from my personal collection in a non-smoking environment.

Enjoy!
