This listing is for a Handmade Shag Rag Rug. It's in Very Good Condition. The dimensions are 20" x 30". The material is of a stretch cotton knit and/or stretch Cotton/Polyester knit  Feels like all cotton knit. The pieces that make up this rug vary in shapes and sizes, but it works. Nothing is symmetrical about this rug, except being rectangle. The pieces were basically cut approximately the same length, but they vary in thickness/shapes. No rhyme of reason. They didn't go back to straighten up after it was made. I guess if you wish you could do that, but I think it would take away from its uniqueness. The light green color looks like some type of piping or tie. They did seem to space out the pieces evenly. The pieces won't pull out as I've tried tugging on them to see what would happens and they stay put. It has a softness to touch. The color has a soft look as it's been done in pastels. It would look great in a bathroom, kitchen or a bedroom, all depends on color scheme of the room. The making of this rug is unusual. Being a seamstress myself and other things I've made throughout my years is different than what I've seen. I can say with assurity it's well made. The back binding looks to have been hand sewn. It will wash up nicely, but I would line dry it to be safe. There is some light very minor yellow type staining on the back, but minimal. I encourage you to blow up the pictures to get a closer look to see what I'm talking about. It's a somewhat heavy little rug, so it lays down nicely and it won't move around that easily once on the floor. Please see pictures for further description of condition.
