This is a gorgeous vintage hand made French beaded evening purse with a lovely gold tone central top purse clip dating from the 1940s.

This beautiful purse is absolutely covered with tiny glass beads on both sides of the purse, on the base and inside both of the exterior side gussets. All of the glass beads have been hand sewn onto the purse.

The exterior of the purse measures 9 cm at its widest point and is 13 cm in height from the base to the top of the purse clip.

This beautiful purse is totally covered with tiny white and pearly beads with highlights of silver coloured small lozenge shaped glass beads.  The front and reverse of this super purse have the same symmetrical stylised flower designs.  

There are some small losses to the beads and a couple of stray threads, but overall the condition is pretty good given the age of the purse.  The beads are all present and correct on both gussets and the backing fabric is securely attached to the gold tone purse frame.

This purse has a wonderful bead covered clutch to the reverse which is still securely attached to the purse and is an especially lovely feature of this evening purse.

This still beautiful purse has a decorative gold tone filigree central purse clip which is very pretty and the opening and closing mechanism of the purse works beautifully well.  

The inside of the purse is lined with cream satin and there is a small inside pocket which still has its original cream satin coloured mirror.  There is a label inside the purse which reads “Made In France Hand Made.”

All in all this is a really lovely vintage evening purse. This beautiful purse would be a lovely addition to a collection of vintage purses and would look very pretty as part of a decorative scheme.
