Vintage tooled leather collar box (empty), by J C Vickery of Regent Street.  Probably made shortly after the First World War.  Green with golden pattern..
Unusual dog picture inset in the lid - I think it is an old-fashioned otterhound - this picture is clearly original, because of the tooled border around the picture.  Cloth lining insider has various sections for accoutrements like collar studs and grooming accessories.
8.25" x 7.25", 3.25" tall (21x19x8.5 cm).  Weight 460g.
Note: I have shown the box with one collar inside, just to give an idea of how big it is - this collar is NOT included with the item.

Condition:

Fairly good condition, but not perfect.  The leather on the lid has been rubbed and the green and gold colours are very dull.  The sides have kept their colour far better.  Some scuffs.  The interior is in surprisingly good condition.  The back "hinge" of leather has broken through, and clasp at the front is incomplete, so the lid doesn't fit tightly. This box is EMPTY.
