19th Century Carved Oak Architectural Boss Head of Bacchus / Devil
This is a very large / over lifesize Victorian period grotesque carved Oak architectural boss, the head of Bacchus / the devil, circa late 1800's.
CONDITION damage / loss to both horns, some worm holes (no longer active) pink staining to the underside from a wood filler - as per images
The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
