Seth Thomas Wood 8 day Wind Up Miniature Beehive Gothic Style Desk Clock - Works
- This is a Seth Thomas "Capel" model miniature beehive/ Gothic style desk clock
- The clock is constructed out of mahogany wood with a dark finish
- This clock is dates to the 1920's or early 30's
- The clock is in very good original condition with some light age related wear
- The brass bezel around the dial and the brass rear plate with brass hand-setting knob and winding key show some light patina
- The original silvered dial is in excellent condition with minimal wear
- Original crystal (glass) is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches, or breakage
- The clock features a brass 8-day spring driven movement which works properly and keeps good time
- The original label on the base of the clock is mostly intact with the "Capel" name still clearly legible
- Clock measures 4-3/4" tall, 3-3/4" wide, and 2-1/4" deep
This is a rare model of Seth Thomas clock. I've never really seen a beehive / gothic style clock this small before. It would make a very nice addition to any desk and would serve as a nice, functional antique. Feel free to ask me any questions about this great, little clock.
