Early 19th C. Regency Fruitwood Carved Fruitwood Crocodile Nut Cracker c.1820

This is an excellent Regency carved fruitwood nut cracker in the form of a crodile, circa 1820. Measure 11 1/2" inches long.

This design was featured in Homes & Antiques magazine in an article on collecting nutcrackers. See a similar example at Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood 10th March 2020, £980 hammer price.

CONDITION very old damage to the tail - as per images

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
