Rickenbacker DC-16 “Heavy sound! Vintage Rickenbacker steel!” A valuable steel guitar that appeared around 1950 and was discontinued in 1953. Both the body and neck are made of stamped metal, giving it a thick tone and sustain. The pickup seems to have been replaced (not the horse shoe). There are some rust, dullness, and dirt throughout, but it can be said to be appropriate for the model year. Damage can be seen on the paint film under the transparent fingerboard of both necks. The craftsmanship is rough throughout, and it is difficult to tell how much of it is in original condition, but something that appears to be silicone has been applied to a wide area inside the body, and the wiring and pots have been replaced. Grounding has also been done as an afterthought. When you take your hands off the strings, you can hear some hum noise, but it's within tolerance. Place the neck selector switch in the center position to enter standby mode. One of the set screws on the plate of the same switch is missing, but the screw hole has been filled with paint. There is paint on the heads of other screws, and it seems that the entire plate was painted after the screws were missing. The back cover is secured with 12 screws, but 4 screws are missing. You can see traces of tape-like material pasted on the back cover and the back of the head. The shafts of some of the pegs are slightly bent, but this does not affect tuning. The upper (front) neck is tuned to B11th, and the lower (front) neck is tuned to C6th. There is some rust on the strings, but since we do not sell replacement strings, we will sell them as is.
