A Rare, Large, Fine Korean Pottery Kundika Bottle with Incised Characters-13th C.

Korean, Koryo dynasty, 11th to 14th century. Incised Characters .

A well potted with a ring to the neck, and quite large baluster shape of a pottery

Kundika bottle incised with two characters on the base,

an unusual one hole to the near shoulder that is for an air flow or to control

its liquid polling out presumably but not quite clear what is for the simple hole,

and neither the characters are, pottered with a pure greyish black clay.

It’s in very fine condition, it measures 12.5” h. (32cm h).
