Description
Antique Edwardian aigrette hair comb ornament. Decorated with 25 paste or glass stones, graduated in size and prong set onto a brass mount. Attached via a pivoting hinge to a 2-prong mottled caramel and honey colored hair comb. The back having a small holder for a feather, it accommodates a narrow quill, the feathers shown are not included. Measures 5 1/8" total length when fully extended. The comb portion measures 3 1/4" length. The ornament measures 2 1/8" north to south x 1 3/8" wide across. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, no missing stones.
