Prosphora its origin goes back to antiquity.
The commandment of bringing bread to the victim has reached us - with the Old Testament times:
let him offer for his offering leavened bread with the peace offerings of thanksgiving (Lev. 7:13).
The Tabernacle of Moses were the loaves of proposition, which consist of two parts, which meant the bread of heaven and earth, that there are two natures, divine and human.
In imitation of the Christian churches and the bread (or communion bread) made of two parts, and its two parts means divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ.
