The ADOR1 Automatic Chicken Coop Door is in its 12th year of production with many tens of thousands installed in all types of climates., even Yukon Territory and Alaska! Best known for its inventive automatic LOCKED SHUT design and Steel construction. Apparently the foreigners really liked our sprocket design as so many of the cheap foreign doors tried to copy the looks and mechanism. This is a COMPLETE door and includes a FREE BATTERY. ADOR1 is designed for out in the weather or for inside mount. Simple to install in mere minutes: outside wall, inside wall, even on a fence. NO NEED for Solar Power nor House AC power -- the ADOR1 typically runs at least 1 year on a cheap 6 volt battery. The infra-red daylight sensor data is processed by an algorithm to determine sunrise and sunset times. Time variations relative to sunrise and sunset can be adjusted by the user. Manual over-ride and LED status indication are provided on the front panel. A buzzer also annunciates codes for status indication. One year warranty and great phone or text or email customer service. Lifetime galvanized steel construction. (No warranty on FREE BATTERY, but should give at least ONE YEAR of service). Don't be fooled by automatic doors with an alphanumeric display and keypad. Why would you want to put a device with a keypad and display out in the weather? We kept it simple for reliability reasons but still have all the technology and allow adjustments ADOR1 is easily maintainable -- AdorStore sells replacement parts for a reasonable price so this should be the last chicken door you have to buy. The LARGE opening is 13" tall x 10.5" wide. Easy to install and/or to adapt to any existing opening on your coop. There is NO plastic, NO wood and NO aluminum exposed to the weather -- remember Aluminum still corrodes in the caustic chicken environment. That's why the ADOR1 is all Galvanized Steel.
