We are one of the UK's premier furniture dealers and have been trading in London for four decades. We specialise in English and Continental furniture, silver, porcelain, and decorative items both antique and contemporary. We exhibit our collection in 25,000 square feet of elegant showrooms in our large warehouse very close to the centre of London.

Antique Edwardian Display Cabinet by Maple & Co C1900

A stunning Edwardian mahogany breakfront glazed display cabinet by Maple & Co., Circa 1900 in date.

Beautifully decorated throughout with with ebony and boxwood crossbanding and stringing, the shaped raised back and rectangular top over glazed sides.

The front with two astragal glazed panels flanking a single glazed door, enclosing two shelves, with inset panels over a shaped apron and raised on swept legs.

Complete with working lock and original key, the back bearing the ivorine label of Maple & Co.

This stunning piece is in excellent condition and the quality and attention to detail throughout is second to none.

In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.

Maple & Co
the renowned furniture retailer of London, Paris and Buenos Aires,   were famous for top quality furniture.

They were by Royal Appointment and  became one of the leading furniture manufacturers of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. They used only the finest quality timber which was imported directly from all over the world.
 
Maple and Company were founded in 1841 in Tottenham Court Road, London and had premises there until 1997.  By the 1880s they were the largest and most successful furniture makers in the world, their huge emporium having become a tourist attraction in its own right. In addition to their middle class clientele, they furnished Embassies, hotels, beautiful homes and palaces all over the globe, including Tsar Nicholas's Winter Palace, the Hoffburg Imperial Palace in Vienna, and many of Britain's country houses.

Williams and Hill Forwarding is our preferred shipping agent for our valuable and fragile furniture items delivered within the UK.


After you purchase, we will make all the arrangements to get your item to your door.


Stephen Morris Shipping is our preferred specialist for delivery outside of the UK.


Increased shipping costs incurred when purchasing additional items are generally quite low.

For the best value, we recommend offsetting this cost by purchasing multiple items.


We require that someone be home on the agreed delivery day if applicable, otherwise a redelivery fee will apply.


In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations, we offer a 14-day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the item.


The item must be returned in its original packaging and condition.


Unless the item is not as described in a material way, the buyer is responsible for return shipping expenses.


Buyers are fully responsible for any customs duties or local taxes that may be incurred on items sent outside of the United Kingdom, and we are not responsible for any delays in shipping or in the customs procedures of any jurisdiction, which are completely beyond our control.
