One does not see these very often. I wouldn’t hesitate to
call it extremely rare. It is a punch ladle in Tiffany’ Lap-Over-Edge pattern.
Some say it was the most expensive flatware pattern made by Tiffany. The ladle
is acid etched, and the pattern is “GRAPE”, appropriate for a punch ladle. It
is 14 ¾” (34.96 cm) long, and weighs 8.83 ozt (274.7 gm). This is a bit bigger than
the only comp I was able to find. There is a nice monogram. It is in
outstanding condition. It was made between 1880 and 1904. The pattern was not
produced after 1904. Please see our other fine silver by Tiffany, Gorham,
Durgin, Unger Bros., and other fine American makers. We also have a very nice
selection of English silver. Please contact us if you have any questions.
