After passing away in 2011, his son Yukihiro Chai took over the workshop. His older brother Yukio Chai and his nephew Yukihide Chai (Yukio's son) are also guitar makers. This model is an alto guitar for ensemble use. There are some minor playing scratches and small dents, but the condition is good with no defects that would interfere with playing. There is a spot near the sound hole on the 1st string side that looks unevenly painted, but it is on the inside of the paint. Also, there are some areas where the color is burnt and discolored, but there is no problem in using it. It's well made, so I think you'll be able to enjoy it for a long time.
