Product introduction
New parts for the aircraft carrier Hiryu, which is one of the main ships of the Nagumo task force, and which attacked the US aircraft carrier in the Battle of Midway. Re-released with added!
The product is an unpainted kit that requires adhesive assembly and painting.
The scale is 1/700, and it is an offshore model that does not include the bottom of the ship.
This product consists of a conventional (special series) mold and newly designed additional parts.
The aircraft carrier Hiryu was completed in 1945 at the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal as a similar type of ship to the Soryu.
Changes to the Soryu include the flight deck being wider near the bridge, the bridge being placed on the port side, and the bow deck being further enlarged.
At the outbreak of war, he formed the 2nd Air Squadron with Soryu and participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Indian Ocean operations. At the Battle of Midway in June 1945, Akagi Kaga Soryu was rendered incapacitated by an attack by U.S. carrier-based aircraft, but a single ship counterattacked and severely damaged the U.S. aircraft carrier Yorktown, but Hiryu was also hit by fire and killed in the battle.
