Maintenance Kit (Statim 5000)

Maintenance kit is compatible with the Statim 5000 sterilizer. Kit Includes: 1 cassette seal, 1 liquid soap, 1 biological filter, 1 air compressor filter, & 1 water filter (in-line). (OEM #01-101649S - gasket only) Installation Instructions of Statim 5000 Maintenance Kit (PDF): Open, cool, and separate cassette before removing the seal. Place the side of the cassette with the seal on a flat surface. Begin with any of the 4 corners to pry the cassette seal loose using a gasket removal tool (#DG-100). Pry the seal away from the cassette tray. Do NOT poke the seal directly. Position the tool between gasket and tray. Remove the seal by pulling down and out at the same time, until removed from the cassette housing. After the seal is removed, then inspect, clean, and remove any residue in the cassette housing groove. Examine for dings or dents in the housing groove on both halves of the cassette. With the new seal in hand, lubricate the outer edge that will come in contact with the cassette housing groove with provided liquid soap. Now install the cassette seal by placing the seal in the back corners first so the 2 holes line up between the gasket and cassette tray. Then installing each of the 4 corners by making sure the two locating tabs are at the edge of the lip on the cassette tray. Install the cassette seal into the groove (first the top and then the bottom) - making sure the corners are still located correctly and the locating tabs are still properly visable. Remove any soap residue from the holes in the cassette, because this could cause leakage if not clean. Finally cycle the unit for steam leaks and insure pressurization. NOTE: During the test cycles it is normal to hear a hissing sound at first. The sound is from excess soap expelling and the cassette seal seating in the metal cassette housing tray. If steam leaks or pressurization does not occur, seal may be damaged from installation or improperly installed. Refer to the operator’s manual.
